What is community solar and how does it benefit you?
A community solar project is a local solar installation shared by multiple community subscribers.
Community solar projects are large solar power installations, which can be installed on large plots of land usually several acres, community solar can also be installed on unused roofs. Think warehouses and apartment buildings.
These subscribers pay a monthly fee to participate, and in turn, receive a credit on their electricity bill for their share of the power produced. The balance ends up saving subscribers money and allows them to join the fight against climate change. It's a Win-win situation for all community members involved!
